Careful, Code-Compliant Installation Built to Perform for Decades
Choosing a new roof installation is one of the biggest calls a Agoura Hills, CA property owner will ever make about their building. A repair fixes one problem area, but a full installation sets the tone for how the whole roof will hold up for the next 25 to 50 years. Everything that happens during that install, the underlayment chosen, how the fasteners are spaced, how the flashing ties everything together, shapes how the roof handles the elements from that point forward. Almost every roof that fails early, rather than lasting its full expected lifespan, traces the problem back to how it was put together in the first place.
Weatherseal Roofing has been installing roofs across Agoura Hills, CA since 2004, working on both brand-new construction and full replacement projects for homes and commercial buildings alike. Our crews carry manufacturer certification, meaning they've completed formal training on the specific products they work with and follow the manufacturer's installation specs to the letter. That certification isn't just a title on paper. It's what unlocks the manufacturer's own system warranty on eligible products, adding another layer of protection on top of our own workmanship guarantee.
Every project starts with checking the structure underneath. On replacement jobs, that happens right during tear-off, as our crew examines each exposed section of decking for rot, moisture damage, loose fasteners, and general stability. Any sections that don't meet the standard needed for the new roofing system get swapped out for properly rated sheathing before we move forward. On new builds, we coordinate directly with the general contractor to confirm the deck meets our specifications before our crew ever steps on site.
Picking the right underlayment makes a real difference in how the roof holds up over time. On most Agoura Hills, CA projects, we specify synthetic underlayment rather than traditional felt, since it stands up better to moisture, resists tearing, and holds its shape more reliably over the years. In spots where ice buildup is a bigger concern, we run self-adhering membrane along the eaves, through every valley, and around each penetration, creating a backup waterproof barrier exactly where it's needed most. None of these choices are based on what's cheapest to buy; they're based on your specific roof and what Agoura Hills, CA's weather actually throws at it.
Flashing gets careful, deliberate attention on every job we run. It's the single most common weak point on roofs that were otherwise installed correctly, and nearly every flashing failure traces back to sloppy integration rather than bad materials. Our teams step-flash wall intersections properly, install counter-flashing correctly at chimneys, and use formed metal valley flashing sealed exactly to spec. Every single penetration, from pipe boots to skylight curbs, gets individually flashed and sealed before we finish the surrounding shingles.
